Describing Homework in English
Homework, as the name suggests is a task that's done at home. Homework contains several kinds of questions that are provided to students at the end of a particular chapter of a book.
Homework is given to students to make them study at home after spending hours attending the lessons in the school.
Homework has countless benefits for students if they do it themselves. It is a tool that helps students not only revise what they have already studied in the school but also master the lessons. It ingrains the lessons into the long-term memory of the students and assists them remember the lessons forever.
It prevents students from pulling an all nighter before the exams which is adversely dangerous to their health. It is through doing homework that students get back in their teachers' good books and don't need to work around the clock at the time of the exams.
The intriguing fact about homework is that it is a communication channel between a student and a teacher when they are away from each other.
Apart from helping the students achieve the mastery of the lessons, homework makes them sharp-witted as they do mental activities to complete it.
Homework is one of those things which encourage students to be disciplined, punctual and obedient. As homework requires students to complete it before they go to bed, it teaches them time management which essentially needs to be maintained by them to be successful in life.
To sum up, although homework causes a little bit stress and strain, yet it is beneficial to students. Students in every school are therefore encouraged to do their homework.
